“…And They Said
It Couldn’t Be Done…”
Welcome, one and all… to the THIRD issue of…
The Nostalgia Zine!
Here's a rundown of this issue's contributors:
I first met MIKE TIEFENBACHER at a Comic Convention, lo those many years ago. They were casual, almost slipshod affairs where you met others who shared your passion and became friends or at least comrades. Mike's column this month is a walk down memory lane to those bitter-sweet Nostalgic days of old.
MARK CARLSON continues to amaze me with fascinating minutia about the lesser known stars in the galaxy of Comic Book history. This month's first installment of a triptych has me anticipating the next chapter as we move to a bi-monthly schedule.
I struck up a conversation with GARTH DANIELSON in the Nostalgia Zone one day last Summer and discovered that he also likes my all-time favorite comic-book story (the Donald Duck story from Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #146). His article includes details about the Duckman I never knew before, as well as a brief overview of some of the classic Duck stories. I thank Garth for persevering through the fog of my alternating encouragement and discouragement, and delivering a well-rounded piece.
CHRIS BUDEL and STEVEN ITTNER are in training and sitting out this issue, hopefully returning next time to pad out the next ’Zine in our bid to go bi-monthly.
