You now see the second issue of The Nostalgia Zine, sneak

home page.)
It's a wonder that MIKE TIEFENBACHER has time to eat,
let alone write for NOSTALGIA ZINE, but here is
another installment of his fascinating column. I of
all people misspelled his name last issue (my name is
always butchered either in pronunciation or spelling,
so I ought to know better), so here's hoping that
internet searches now will find him, correctly. I see
parts of me in here, to my delight and horror.
STEPHEN ITTNER has done many in-house illustrations
for NOSTALGIA ZONE over the years, both for print and
for display in our store. He has a new toy that allows
him to draw right on the web. Hopefully this is the
first of many pieces for NOSTALGIA ZINE. He also finds
time to pull orders here and keep the system running
at the NOSTALGIA ZONE.
MARK CARLSON moves forward with his extrapolations of
Comic Book Circulation Figures and brings us up to the
present, setting the stage for future articles about
the whys and hows of the business of funny books. He
comes by from time to time, tracking down a character
cross-over, or filling in some continuity.
CHRIS BUDEL tries to write better, more informative
articles, but so far only comes up with the continued
screed on Home Editing Comics.
Hopefully good for a laugh, he wants you to submit
more examples of defaced comics, either secretly done
by elves in the middle of the night, or culled from
quarter-boxes at the next show you find yourself at...
This issue's Online Coupon celebrates the fact that
we have a second issue. So here is our deal: %20
off any order by September 15, 2005 that mentions
"2nd Quarter NostalgiaZine" in the order notes.
And more exciting
features are already in the works for the third issue,
due out already (but late again). Look for it before
the leaves are blowing onto your freshly raked lawn.
Also, see our one letter to the editor on the "Home Edit" page.
We really enjoyed this letter. We read it many times. Please
write us at order@nostalgiazone.com and tell us what you
think of our efforts. Even if you hate them.
